On the 16th of September 2017 Pete Connolly did the unthinkable and set a new Guinness world record of 146.73kmh on a skateboard (91.17mph)

The record was set on a very steep road in les Eboulements in Canada.

I wonder how many church roofs he raided for that amount of lead under his board?

This was also a new British record and we are very proud of our speedy giant! A deserving guy who trained for over a year to be ready for this event. The work he put in showed massively and you know he will be back in 2019 to hopefully shatter and keep hold of that record once again.

Video of Petes record is here –

Also holding a British record is Aaron Skippings reaching a speed of 126.16kmh (78mph)

Aaron holds the British speed record for under 150lbs and Pete for over 150lbs. This was Aarons first time here in Canada and he will be back for that elusive 80mph in 2019.

A speed event isn’t complete without aero lids.  Petes weapon of choice was a Risch helmet while Aaron went for the classic Fast track.
